Agents, Get Ready for Facebook Split-Screen Live VideoWe just love Social Media Examiner, a website dedicated to all things social media. One of their latest posts shared that Facebook will be introducing a split-screen feature for the Facebook Live videos to all users in the not-too-distant future. (Check out their awesome demonstration here!). Right now, only select personal Facebook users have access with a rollout to all users eventually then Facebook Pages.

So, what’s so exciting about a split-screen feature? As an agent in a quest for insight from top real estate experts, you’ve probably seen your share of interviews conducted with a split-screen. Having a split-screen feature for interviews just makes them more dynamic (read: not boring) and provides both you and your interviewee equal face time (pun intended) with your audience.

Agents, Get Ready to Use Facebook Split-Screen Live Video in Your Real Estate Marketing

Facebook first announced its split-screen feature at VidCon in June 2016. The ability broadcast together with someone from a remote location is huge for Facebook users as you can use the feature in a multitude of creative ways.

The first roll-out was planned for Verified Pages then to other users this summer.

Split-Screen Ideas for Real Estate Agents

Hopefully, you have enjoyed creating videos for your real estate business and shared them all over: social media, your website newsletters, wherever you have an audience.

Many of the ideas we’ve shared around video topics included interviews with clients, testimonials, walk-throughs of listings, to name a few.

With Facebook’s new feature, you can do all of these and more! For interviews, you can schedule your call for you and your interviewee anytime and anywhere. You don’t have to worry about each other’s schedule or location since you can conduct the interview remotely. Most people are used to videoconferencing by now, so this would, in essence feel much like that.

In addition, you can expand the types of interviews you conduct. Perhaps you’d like to interview an expert in the mortgage industry or a client at their new home if you are selling similar properties. You could also have a current listing shown by a fellow agent or your assistant and moderate from wherever you are.

Be More Mobile

What we love about the split-screen offering specifically from Facebook is that you’ll be able to conduct a tour with a fellow host on the go. You don’t, in other words, have to just sit at your computer. Using a selfie stick, you can give give a tour of a property both inside and outside while discussing features with another expert or even the builder/remodeler of a property. The possibilities are endless!

Everything You Love about Facebook Live

The split-screen feature is a fantastic build on Facebook Live. You can do everything with it as you had with Live before such as save and post videos, invite others and notify when you are on the air.

While this feature may not be readily available to you yet (and if it is, please share your experience on our Facebook page!), it’s a good idea to start those gears turning as to how you can make the most of it and enhance your Facebook presence.
