We received an email from Shane Ruys, BROKER at Kingston Agents this evening. It was short and sweet so we figured we could share too.
In this post we will share the email to us as well as a bit more context and leave it up to you to decide what kind of real estate agent Shane Ruys is to deal with and if you want to work with him or not.
The email from Shane Ruys said: “[I filed] A false dispute so you charge me again? You guys are crooks. I cancelled my service with you and you keep billing my card. I’m not letting this go…..what a terrible company you’re running there. I’m going to let every real estate group I’m on let them know what kind of company you are to deal with.”
He called us crooks after he filed a false dispute (his words) with his credit card company, a dispute that we won I would like to add.

How ironic is that?
I mean, it was him who filed the false dispute with his credit card company in the first place in an attempt to get a paid service for free.
Shane Ruys trying to get a service for free is no different than someone walking out of a grocery store with a shopping cart of items they did not pay for and then telling the store that they are crooks for stopping this attempted theft from happening. What sane person thinks like this?
Question to the readers: Who here thinks the store gives a hoot if the thief goes on and tells all of his friends what kind of store the store is for stopping the thief in his tracks?
Answer: The store wouldn’t care and neither do we but we did get a pretty good laugh out of Shane Ruys threat of “I’m going to let every real estate group I’m [in and] let them know what kind of company you are to deal with”
Lets break down the email line by line:
“A false dispute so you charge me again?” & “I cancelled my service with you and you keep billing my card” – Thanks for admitting to a false dispute but, yes, when your credit company decides in our favor of course we will charge you.
“You guys are crooks.” Said the knob who tried to get the credit card company to give him his money back for a service he used by filing a false dispute.
“I’m not letting this go…..what a terrible company you’re running there. I’m going to let every real estate group I’m on let them know what kind of company you are to deal with.” We hit on this above already –

In the end we are glad that he admitted to filing a false dispute since we can take this even further if we choose to.
