Give Back with Giveback HomesReal estate agents, while motivated by the thrill of the sale, no doubt get a high from helping people, too. The smile on a listing client’s face when their home sells or the “we did it” excitement of a buyer purchasing his or her first home are all worth the sometimes arduous and long process.

However, we know that many of you love doing more. We’re all about opportunities for real estate agents to give back to their communities! An amazing way you can marry your professional and philanthropic sides is through an awesome site – Giveback Homes.

What is Giveback Homes?

Giveback Homes, according to its website, is “a community of real estate professionals who are committed to creating social change by helping build homes for deserving families around the globe. We work together to organize fundraising events, mobilize teams of volunteer homebuilders, and we inspire others to take action for social good.”

How cool is that? It’s an opportunity for agents to come together and make giving a part of their businesses.

So, How Does It Work?

First, you join as a member. Once you do, you can become a fundraiser by starting a Giveback Homes page and incorporating the giving opportunities into your branding and on your website. It’s a wonderful way to show your clients, leads and professional network your commitment to helping others through your profession.

In addition to helping to raise funds, you can physically contribute through local Build Days or internationally through Build Trips.

Where are the Build Projects?

The build projects you’d be supporting through your fundraising or volunteer efforts include:

  • Atlanta, GA
  • Austin, TX
  • Chicago, IL
  • Dallas, TX
  • Denver, CO
  • El Salvador
  • Leveque, Haiti
  • Houston, TX
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Nicaragua
  • New York, NY
  • Oakland, CA
  • Orange County, CA
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • Sacramento, CA
  • Salt Lake City, UT
  • San Diego, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Temecula, CA

Get Involved

Once you are a part of the Giveback Homes community, you can learn so much from your fellow members on how to maximize your involvement or even help organize local events for even more support.

Some agents even make a commitment by donating a portion of their commissions to support Giveback Homes. It’s a way that many agents have formed deeper relationships with their clients by supporting a great cause together.

If a client or lead gets wind of all the good that Giveback Homes does, then they can connect with a real estate agent member through the Giveback Homes directory. So membership is a wonderful way to publicize your business as a philanthropic organization from the get-go.
