John Marker Explains How He Has Built His Pipeline With Home Value Leads

John Marker, head of The Marker Team along with his wife Lisa, serves the Detroit, Michigan real estate market. With a thriving REO business, John realized that the REO market would begin to die down and he knew he needed a plan for the future. HVL: John, you’ve been a client of Home Value Leads since May of 2014. What kind of results have you had with the system?

John: I have listed 5 properties directly through Home Value Leads to date. 1 expired unsold, 3 closed, and the last one was just listed a week ago. I also have 20 hot prospects that are looking to list in the near future. 2015 is going to be a great year!

HVL: Having 5 transactions in 7 months may not sound great to some agents. What would you say to them?

John: Most leads that come in are just curious about their current value. Agents have to realize that there are very few leads that are ready to do something right now, even though most agents only want the “Now” leads. Building the pipeline is so critically important! Staying in touch with the leads in the pipeline by email drip, phone calls, and text messaging is so important. I love the fact that HVL sends out the automated monthly reports. Out of these 5 transactions, 3 of them have come in the past month and I have a ton of hot leads geared up for the Spring. It’s all about the follow up.

HVL: Have you tried any other seller lead generation platforms other than Home Value Leads?

John: I did the free trial of listings to leads. After reviewing listings to leads, it was too confusing and there was no hands on help getting it set up right from the owners like there is with Home Value Leads. The support with HVL is amazing.

HVL: If you could give agents 1 piece of advice that would change the way they use the system, what would it be?
